               “Always do right.”

                  -Mark Twain

Reflection:

What I think about this quote of Mark Twain is that if we always do right we are not getting in trouble we are obeying what is right. For example if we always do what is right we have a clean conscious and the people around us will be happy and they can always count on you. And if you do wrong things you won’t have a clean conscious and nobody would like to be around you. There are also consequences for not do the right and there are rewards for always doing right.

More Tips
Finally, look beyond the article for more clues.Ø Read the website’s home page and the About Us page. Look for a mission statement to learn more about the site, its purpose and the organization sponsoring it.

Ø If there is an author listed, look for a biography that discusses the author’s education, profession and other relevant background. If there is no bio on the site, search for one elsewhere on the Web.

Ø Check the date. Facts can change over time, so see if the site shows when it was last updated.

Ø Presentations counts; look at everything from design to spelling. A clean, well-organized site shows a certain degree of professionalism.

Ø Avoid sites that are pornographic, vulgar, inappropriate, below par, suggestive, and falsifying.

     “Gold medals don’t make champions…

                   hard work does.”

                             -Anon
Reflection:
What I think about this quote of Anon is that they are choosing the right because a gold medal doesn’t mean anything if you haven’t work hard. If you work hard you can achieve great things such as reliable, honest, trustworthy, and more…gold medals come and go but working hard doesn’t. So remember to work hard and give the best of the best.

Read Between the Lines
Make a judgment about the site’s reliability based on your own analysis of the site and the information it contains. Here are some ways to do this:

·        Look for facts you know or can check with a trusted source. If the site gets those facts right, it’s more likely that the other facts on the site are also accurate.

·        Study the language used. Is it angry, satiric or overly impassioned? This may indicate that the site is biased.

·        Consider whether the arguments are logical and backed up by evidence, and whether the site presents only one point of view.

·        Check the links to the sources that the author acknowledges. Scholarly writing, whether in print or online, should include a bibliography.

“The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character.”

                          -Margaret Chase Smith

Reflection:

What I think about this quote of Margaret is that if we stand for what I unpopular it’s a true test on our moral character. But we have to stand for what are right and unpopular things. For example if we stand to no drugs it is unpopular but it is the right thing to do because it affects you and the people around you. We don’t want to see our love ones hurt and damage from their inside and outside their body. Don’t woes up for things and don’t let anyone alter your plans. So always choose what is right and stand for unpopular things.
